Select the area between the first keyframe and the second on your timeline and copy the frame sequence. Paste the frame sequence onto the blank frames after the second keyframe, skipping two or three frames. Reverse the order of the pasted sequence and repeat the motion tweening so that the bright object  fades back to its original color.
